Together, we will ensure that all of Vermont’s children have the opportunity to succeed so we can live, work, and thrive collectively.
Affordable, accessible, quality child care is essential to Vermont. In the first year since Act 76 passed, through new, long-term public investment, 1,000 child care spaces have been created, 90 new child care programs have opened, and thousands of Vermont families have accessed reduced child care costs. Public investment in child care is working! It’s preparing our youngest children for school, strengthening our economy, and making Vermont more affordable for families.
But the work isn’t done until all Vermont families who need it have access to affordable, quality child care, and every child has access to skilled, well-prepared, and professionally compensated early childhood educators.
Let’s build on our child care progress! Take the 2025 Child Care Action Pledge to commit to continue working together to fully solve this crisis.
