Join the Families of Color Advisory Committee

Calling Vermont families of color with young children! Your insights and experience are critical in helping Vermont's Child Care Campaign fully solve our state's child care crisis. You're invited to join Let's Grow Kids' Families of Color Advisory Committee for Racial Equity in Child Care Policy.

What is the Families of Color Advisory Committee?

In 2023, the Families of Color Advisory Committee helped Vermont's Child Care Campaign pass major policy changes to Vermont's child care system. Now that the 2023 Child Care Bill is law, Let's Grow Kids' policy team is working together with many groups, families, early educators, and lawmakers to make sure the law works the way we all intended and creates a child care system that is equitable, affordable, and fair for the people working in child care programs.

To make sure that implementation of the bill is as strong as possible, and that it meets the needs of families of color in Vermont, the Families of Color Advisory Committee invites more parents and families of color to join us in giving advice and feedback.

Your voice can help shape the future of child care in Vermont.
