- The Early Care and Education Financing Study final report released on Jan-17th. The study confirms a direct path forward this session to create a quality, affordable child care system through long-term public investment. Cost, funding sources for consideration, and economic impact collectively affirm that an investment in Vermont’s child care system will make our state more affordable for everyone.
- Legislative committees were busy talking about child care this week!
Senate Economic Development, Housing and General Affairs heard powerful testimony from Michele Asch (Twincraft Skincare), Bill Stritzler (Smugglers’ Notch Resort), Sean Larkin (OnLogic), Eric Sorkin (Runamok Maple), Cara Chigazola Tobin (Honey Road and The Grey Jay), Sam Hooper (Vermont Glove), James Moore (SunCommon), David Watts (Simon Pearce), Ryan Tetrault (RT Construction), and Brian Leffler (Instrumart).
