Nonprofit Leadership: A training for VT Nonprofit Child Care Program Leaders (online, real-time training)
This series of two 90-minute online, real time trainings will offer an overview of the distinctions of a non-profit business, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the board of directors and the executive director of a non-profit child care business. The presentations will be led Dr. Jane A. Van Buren, founding director of Noonmark Services, a nationally and internationally recognized resource for board development, training, and support.
Eight individual, 30-minute follow-up consultations will be offered, on a first-come first-serve basis, to a limited number of participants who complete both sessions.
Participants will:
- Receive an overview of the distinctions of a non-profit business in VT, the roles and responsibilities of the Board of Directors and the Executive Director of a non-profit child care business.
- Discuss board vs. staff functions, vision, values and mission of a successful non-profit child care program.
- Leave the series with resources and identified next steps to successful operation of a viable non-profit child care business.
