Chittenden County Action Teams (Virtual Meeting)

COVID-19 has made us all painfully aware of the critical role that child care plays in our society. That is why our Action Teams are assembling again in a new virtual environment to take action together.

In some ways, Action Teams have changed—we can’t meet in person or plan community events at local venues—but in most ways, they have not. We are still parents, educators, advocates, and Vermonters, and we still believe all children deserve a strong start and a bright future, beginning with affordable access to high-quality child care. We are still working together to take action.

Join us if you’re passionate about the future of child care and you want to know the best way to use your voice to strengthen the early care and education system. Together, we can build a better child care system—a system that supports and values children, early educators, and working families for what they are: the heart of our society and the backbone of our economy.

We will work together to take action, advocating for ongoing targeted supports for child care programs, including:

  • Funding to restart and operate safely during this pandemic
  • Health and sanitation supplies
  • Tuition assistance for families with limited incomes
  • Wage supports
