Advancing Early Childhood Education as a Profession in Vermont: Session 1 (online real-time training)

Fragmented, inconsistent, under-resourced—early childhood education exists in a situation of difficult current realities. It is time to envision and build toward a different future. In this two-hour Northern Lights-accredited online real-time training, participants will deepen and extend their understanding of the workforce-led efforts to advance as a recognized, cohesive profession in Vermont. Key components of this session include:

• What defines a profession
• The national effort to create a unifying framework to serve as a blueprint for states
• VTAEYC's multi-year initiative to authentically engage the early childhood education workforce in shaping a direction for the future of the profession.

Audience: Early childhood education workforce and other stakeholders.
