Advancing as a Profession: Session 2 - Three Designations with Aligned Preparation Pathways (online real-time training)

The route to becoming an early educator has often been confusing, too costly, and time consuming for many to achieve.  Offering training that does not lead to attainment of valid ECE credentials and degrees or training that is unaffordable does an injustice to the field. In this Northern Lights-approved online real-time training, participants will deepen and extend their understanding as VTAEYC's work related to Advancing as a Recognized Profession. Vermont's Task Force continues to explore: to what extent might Vermont's early childhood workforce choose to align with the NAEYC's Unifying Framework. Participants in this Northern Lights-approved, online real-time training will be able to:

• Describe Power to the Profession recommendations for Three Designations with Aligned Preparation Pathways

• Describe Phased-in Implementation that honors the existing workforce and the future workforce

• Understand ways to continue to engage with this work

Presenters:
Outreach Coordinator: Rachel Hunter
Task Force Members: Laura Butler, Kim Freeman, Christina Goodwin, Meghan Meszkat
