Stonewood School North is now hiring part time float staff to work in our licensed center located between the towns of Shelburne and South Burlington for the 2019-2020 school year. Our school currently holds a 4 Star rating, is a prequalified preschool program under Act 166, and is a specialized care provider. We will be working towards a 5 Star rating and NAEYC accreditation 2019-2020!


Our center currently has seven classrooms and over 60 children enrolled. Children's ages range from infant through prekindergarten (6 weeks through 5 years). The ideal candidate would be available at least a few hours Monday through Friday, or a few consistent days each week. There is also an opportunity for a full time, year round salaried auxiliary staff position with 90% reduced cost childcare and PTO benefits available to the right candidate. Part time staff are also granted PTO benefits and reduce childcare rates.


This position would mostly be scheduled for midday support, and would help out with lunches and provide breaks to teachers during rest time. This is a very low-key but rewarding position where employees have the flexibility to study or read during afternoon breaks while all children are sleeping. Employees would have the chance to get to know all children at the school, and form close relationships during one on one time.

Oak Hill serves children from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years. The program includes before/afterschool care and school age summer programming. The Center is open from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and is closed for holidays and staff development days. Oak Hill is an Early Head Start Partner and is also part of the Pre-K Partnership with SVSU.
